The measurement system mounted on a purpose-built auger sampler for sludge cake. It is designed for collecting representative samples of sludge cake in various waste management and environmental applications.
It consists of a helical screw, or auger, that is mechanically driven to capture samples falling on the top of the auger. The auger sampler helps ensure that the collected material reflects the average composition of the sludge, accounting for variations in moisture, density, and content.
The auger screw compresses the sample and transports it to the measurement cell containing the Olpas ultrasonic transducer.
