MLSS (activated) sludge concentration
Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) is the concentration of suspended solids in an aeration tank during the activated sludge process. Monitoring MLSS gives insight into the quantity of active biomass available to consume the applied quantity of organic pollutant at any time.
