Kristof Gladinez is currently installing his latest "baby", the Olpas sensor designed specifically for surface water monitoring.
This sensor is engineered to accurately measure sediment loads and TSS (Total Suspended Solids) in surface water, as well as in sewage overflows and influent. Unlike its human counterparts, this technological marvel requires minimal maintenance ;-)
Thanks to its exceptional resistance to (bio)fouling -which has been proven in the context of sludge dewatering and wastewater treatment- we can confidently say that this "baby" will operate flawlessly for months on end, demanding little to no attention from us.
